Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, develop, and execute innovative menus for a variety of high-profile events, considering seasonal ingredients and client preferences.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the entire kitchen brigade, ensuring efficient workflow, positive morale, and adherence to strict food safety standards.
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including inventory management, procurement of high-quality ingredients, cost control, and waste reduction.
- Collaborate closely with the events team to understand client needs and ensure seamless execution of catering services on-site.
- Maintain impeccable standards of hygiene and sanitation in all kitchen areas, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development for kitchen staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a high-volume, quality-focused catering or hospitality environment.
- A strong portfolio showcasing diverse culinary skills and creative menu development.
- Expert knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavor profiles, and presentation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Proficiency in inventory management, budget control, and staff scheduling.
- Relevant culinary qualifications or equivalent demonstrable experience.
