Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the kitchen team, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Design innovative and appealing menus that cater to various dietary requirements and client preferences, focusing on seasonal ingredients.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency are maintained across all dishes served.
- Implement and enforce strict food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
- Manage inventory, control food costs, and optimize purchasing to maximize profitability without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with the catering management team to plan and execute events, ensuring seamless service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a demanding catering or hospitality setting.
- Demonstrated culinary expertise with a strong understanding of various cooking techniques and international cuisine.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- A strong grasp of food costing , inventory management, and budget control.
- Relevant catering qualifications or professional culinary certifications are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of current food trends and dietary restrictions, such as vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
