Head Housekeeper

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to manage the housekeeping operations at a prominent hotel in Sheffield . This role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for all guests. The Head Housekeeper will lead and train a team of housekeeping staff, manage inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. This is a crucial position for ensuring guest satisfaction and upholding the hotel's reputation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the housekeeping department, including cleaning schedules and room assignments.
• Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and service.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure quality and compliance.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Develop and implement effective cleaning procedures and protocols.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards within the department.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Head Housekeeper or Assistant Head Housekeeper in a hotel environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to manage budgets and control inventory effectively.
