About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to take on the role of Head of Aquatics Centre Operations in Glasgow . You will be responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of a flagship aquatics facility, ensuring the highest standards of safety, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This leadership position requires a deep understanding of aquatic facility management, including pool plant operations, programming, staff management, and financial oversight, driving excellence in aquatic services.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the aquatics centre's operations, including safety, maintenance, programming, and staffing.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance program offerings, membership, and revenue streams.
• Manage the aquatics budget, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are utilized effectively.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of lifeguards, swimming instructors, and operational staff.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards related to aquatic facilities.
• Implement and manage effective marketing and community outreach strategies to increase facility usage.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in managing large-scale aquatic facilities or swimming pools.
• Strong knowledge of pool plant operations, water safety, and lifeguard management.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop staff.
• Excellent financial acumen and experience in budget management.
• Relevant qualifications in Pool Plant Operations, Lifeguard Management, or a related field.
