About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished and strategic Head of Beauty Product Development to lead their innovative product creation initiatives from their headquarters in Glasgow . This senior leadership role is instrumental in defining and executing the company's product roadmap, driving the development of new beauty and personal care lines from concept through to market launch. You will oversee a talented team of formulators, researchers, and product managers, fostering a culture of creativity, quality, and commercial success within the competitive beauty industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive beauty product strategy aligned with market trends and company objectives.
- Lead and mentor the product development team, fostering innovation and ensuring timely delivery of new product launches.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation, research, formulation, testing, to manufacturing and launch.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure successful product go-to-market strategies.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to optimize product development processes and costs.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in beauty product development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven track record of successfully launching innovative beauty and personal care products in the UK and international markets.
- Strong understanding of cosmetic science, formulation, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing processes.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
