Head of Business Studies – Long-term temporary and ongoing, full-time, starting September 2026

Hereis a well-established 3-16 all-through academy in Leyton, part of Partnership Learning . The school was judged Good by Ofsted, with inspectors recognising strengths in Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management, and Early Years Provision .

Duties as Head of Business Studies:

• Leading and managing the Business Studies department
• Delivering outstanding Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5 where applicable
• Driving student attainment and progress
• Developing curriculum content and assessment practices
• Monitoring teaching quality and supporting departmental staff
• Using data effectively to raise standards and improve outcomes
• Contributing to the wider leadership and development of the school

Ideal Head of Business Studies:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level
• Leadership or departmental responsibility experience is desirable
• Excellent subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
• Proven ability to raise attainment and inspire learners
• Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
