A high-growth fintech business is seeking an ambitious Head of Commercial Strategy & Insights to lead pricing and commercial insight across its customer propositions, offering £150,000. This role will own pricing strategy end-to-end, contribute to the development of new partnerships, and drive innovation through data-led learning.
The position sits at the centre of the company's commercial and pricing strategy, using data-driven insights to identify how pricing can be used as a key lever for sustainable growth. The successful candidate will analyse customer behaviour, commercial performance, and market dynamics to inform decision-making and support the company's scaling ambitions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced analytics or strategy professional looking to step into a senior leadership role within a fast-growing, category-defining business. The role offers close collaboration with senior leadership, including the executive team and founders, and the chance to shape a critical strategic capability as the company expands both in the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the company's commercial analytics and pricing capability, working closely with strategy, finance, commercial, and engineering teams
- Own and evolve pricing strategies across all customer propositions, ensuring they support sustainable growth and commercial performance
- Use data and advanced analytics to generate insights that influence commercial decisions and business strategy
- Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver impactful initiatives informed by analytics and experimentation
- Balance strategic thinking with hands‑on analysis, translating complex data into actionable business recommendations
- Over time, build and lead a high-performing commercial analytics team
Candidate Profile
- 7+ years' experience in strategy and insight, either in industry or consulting
- Strong academic background (ideally 2:1 or above) in a quantitative or STEM discipline from a leading university
- Advanced technical capability, including experience with SQL and Python, and the ability to work deeply with complex datasets
- Demonstrated ability to combine detailed analysis with broader strategic thinking
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced environments
- High levels of ownership and accountability, with a proactive approach to driving outcomes
