About the Role

Our client is looking for a strategic and visionary Head of Communications to lead their public relations and corporate communications efforts from their hub in Oxford . This senior role involves shaping the company's overall communication strategy, managing its public image, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders across the board. You will lead a talented team and work closely with senior management to ensure cohesive and impactful messaging. This position offers a hybrid working model , allowing for both collaborative office-based work in Oxfordshire and remote flexibility, perfect for steering high-level communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the implementation of the comprehensive corporate communications strategy.
• Lead and mentor the PR and communications team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Manage all external communications, including media relations, press releases, and public announcements.
• Oversee crisis communication planning and act as a key spokesperson when necessary.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with media, industry influencers, and key stakeholders.
• Monitor public perception, analyze media coverage, and report on communication effectiveness to the board.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in communications, public relations, or a related field, with significant leadership experience.
• Proven success in developing and executing integrated communication strategies.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated experience in crisis management and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong understanding of media relations, corporate branding, and digital communications.
• Experience working in a hybrid or flexible work environment.
