About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished and strategic Head of Communications to lead their entire communications function in Belfast . This senior role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive communication strategy that supports the organisation's mission and business objectives. You will oversee all aspects of internal and external communications, including media relations, corporate affairs, and stakeholder engagement. This is a leadership opportunity to significantly influence the organisation's public profile and internal messaging, fostering a culture of transparency and consistent brand voice across Northern Ireland and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a forward-thinking communications strategy aligned with organisational goals.
- Lead and mentor the communications team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Manage all media relations, acting as a key spokesperson and building strong relationships with national and international press.
- Oversee crisis communication planning and response, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.
- Develop and manage key stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and tone across all communication channels, both internal and external.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in a senior communications or PR leadership role.
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful, large-scale communication strategies.
- Exceptional media relations skills, with a strong network of contacts.
- Experience in crisis management and reputation protection.
- Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
