About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Digital Learning to lead their digital education initiatives in Leeds . This senior leadership role is responsible for the strategic direction, development, and implementation of all digital learning technologies and practices across the institution. You will manage a team of specialists, foster innovation, and ensure that digital learning effectively supports student success and academic excellence. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of education delivery in West Yorkshire, driving a culture of continuous improvement and technological advancement within the educational sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the institution's strategic vision for digital learning and educational technology.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the digital learning team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of learning management systems (LMS) and other key educational technologies.
• Promote and support the adoption of innovative pedagogical approaches utilizing digital tools.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices in digital education to ensure the institution remains at the cutting edge.
• Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships related to digital learning initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and data privacy regulations for digital content.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Educational Technology, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (7+ years) in a leadership role within digital learning or educational technology.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful digital learning strategies.
• Strong understanding of current trends in online learning, pedagogy, and educational technology platforms.
• Demonstrated experience in managing teams and projects effectively.
• Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
