About The Role

Plymouth City Council is seeking expressions of interest from existing employees within the Facilities Management Service for the role of Head of Facilities Management.

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Council Facilities Management service.
• Act as the Council Competent Person for Facilities Management.
• Lead the delivery of high-quality hard and soft FM services.
• Ensure statutory, health and safety, and legislative compliance.
• Manage significant budgets and resources and drive continuous improvement.
• Represent Facilities Management at senior leadership level across the Council.

About You

• Extensive Facilities Management experience and sector knowledge.
• Membership of a recognised professional body such as CIWFM
• Degree level qualification in an FM or engineering related discipline.
• Senior management experience in a complex FM environment.
• Experience leading hard and soft FM services and managing multi-million-pound budgets.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
