Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and strategic Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead their finance function in a fully remote capacity. This senior role is responsible for driving the strategic financial planning, forecasting, and analytical processes across the organization. You will work closely with executive leadership to develop long-term financial strategies, provide critical insights into business performance, and ensure robust financial controls. This is a high-impact position for a seasoned finance professional who excels in a remote environment and possesses a strong understanding of financial modelling, performance metrics, and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the annual budgeting and long-term strategic planning processes.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and performance analyses.
• Develop and monitor key financial and operational metrics (KPIs) to track business performance.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.
• Build and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of analytical rigor and continuous improvement.
• Implement and enhance financial modelling capabilities and analytical tools.
• Drive process improvements within the FP&A function to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with significant experience in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Strong understanding of financial management principles and corporate finance.
• Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience managing and developing finance teams in a remote setting.
