Head of Financial Planning & Analysis

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead their FP&A function in Bristol . This senior role is responsible for driving financial strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and providing critical insights to guide business growth and profitability. You will lead a team of analysts, collaborate closely with executive leadership, and ensure the financial health and strategic direction of the company. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the annual budgeting and long-term financial planning processes.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly financial performance reports, variance analyses, and forecasts.
• Provide strategic financial guidance and support to business leaders across the organization.
• Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track business performance.
• Manage and mentor the FP&A team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Conduct scenario analysis and financial modeling to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.

Requirements

• MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic financial management.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working with financial planning software and ERP systems.
