About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Leisure Facilities Management to oversee a portfolio of leisure and sports venues in and around Nottingham . This senior leadership role is responsible for the overall operational excellence, safety, and financial performance of multiple facilities. You will lead a team of facility managers, ensuring compliance with all regulations, driving customer satisfaction, and implementing innovative approaches to facility upkeep and enhancement. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in facility management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep commitment to providing high-quality recreational experiences for the community. This position requires a hands-on approach to strategic oversight and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies for all leisure facilities, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and capital improvement plans for all facilities, ensuring they meet high standards.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of facility managers and operational staff, setting performance goals and fostering a positive work environment.
- Manage departmental budgets, including revenue generation, cost control, and financial reporting for all sites.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement customer service initiatives to enhance user experience and satisfaction across all facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in managing multiple leisure or sports facilities, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven expertise in budget management, P&L responsibility, and operational planning.
- Strong knowledge of facility maintenance, health and safety compliance, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated success in improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
