About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Operational Excellence to champion continuous improvement initiatives across all business functions in Manchester . This critical role will drive the adoption of best practices, methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma, and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will lead cross-functional teams, identify areas for process optimization, and implement sustainable changes that deliver tangible business value. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for operational excellence across the organization.
- Lead the implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Identify, analyze, and prioritize opportunities for process enhancement and waste reduction.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to build internal capabilities in continuous improvement.
- Manage a portfolio of improvement projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery of benefits.
- Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to track progress and demonstrate the impact of excellence initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related quantitative field; Master's preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management or process improvement roles.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing Lean/Six Sigma projects with measurable results.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and change management abilities.
- Experience in process mapping and workflow analysis tools is essential.
