About the Role

Our client, a respected organisation within the Charity & Voluntary sector, is seeking a visionary Head of Partnerships & Development to lead their efforts in Birmingham . This senior position is crucial for building and strengthening strategic alliances with corporations, foundations, and community groups to drive sustainable funding and enhance programme delivery. You will be at the forefront of identifying new opportunities, nurturing existing relationships, and ensuring the organisation's mission is effectively supported by a robust network of partners, playing a vital role in expanding our client's reach and impact across the West Midlands region and nationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic plan for corporate partnerships, major donor cultivation, and institutional grant acquisition.
• Identify, research, and engage potential new partners and funders, building strong, long-term relationships based on shared values and objectives.
• Lead negotiations for partnership agreements and funding proposals, ensuring alignment with the organisation's goals and mission.
• Manage and inspire a team of development professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve ambitious targets.
• Represent the organisation at external events, conferences, and meetings to raise its profile and cultivate new opportunities in Birmingham .

Requirements

• Extensive experience in fundraising, partnership development, or business development, preferably within the Charity & Voluntary sector.
• A proven track record of securing significant funding from diverse sources, including corporate sponsorships and major gifts.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a dedicated team.
• Exceptional networking, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a persuasive and engaging presentation style.
• Strategic thinker with a keen understanding of the non-profit landscape and experience in managing complex relationships.
