About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy to spearhead their strategic relationship-building efforts in Leeds . This senior role is critical for cultivating high-value relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and philanthropic foundations, securing the funding necessary to advance our client's mission. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to expand and diversify income streams, ensuring long-term financial stability and growth. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a multi-year strategy for partnerships and philanthropic giving, aligning with the organisation's overall goals.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with major individual donors, corporate entities, and grant-making foundations.
• Lead and mentor the partnerships and philanthropy team, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
• Design and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and reports tailored to the interests of prospective and existing partners.
• Organise exclusive events and cultivation opportunities for key stakeholders to deepen engagement and support.
• Oversee the management of prospect research, due diligence, and relationship management systems to ensure efficient tracking and reporting.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (8+ years) in fundraising, particularly in major gifts, corporate partnerships, or institutional giving within the non-profit sector .
• Demonstrated success in securing significant financial commitments from high-net-worth individuals and major organisations.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, negotiation, and persuasive communication abilities.
• Strong understanding of philanthropic trends and the dynamics of the charity landscape .
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant professional qualifications are a plus.
