About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Head of People Operations to lead their Human Resources function from a remote-first perspective, supporting their UK-wide operations with a strong connection to their Edinburgh presence. This senior leadership role will be instrumental in shaping and executing people strategies that drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and a robust company culture. You will oversee all aspects of People Operations, including HR policy, employee relations, HRIS, compliance, and talent management, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all employees, regardless of location.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive People Operations strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead and mentor the People Operations team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.
- Oversee all HR policies, procedures, and compliance to ensure adherence to UK employment law.
- Manage employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and resolutions of grievances.
- Optimize HR technology and systems to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
- Drive initiatives focused on employee engagement, retention, and continuous improvement of the employee experience.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in a senior HR leadership role, such as Head of People Operations or HR Director.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful people strategies.
- Deep understanding of UK employment law, HR best practices, and HR technology.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- Experience managing HR in a distributed or remote-first organization is highly desirable.
- CIPD Level 7 or equivalent qualification is required.
