About the Role

Our client, a respected organisation within the Charity & Voluntary sector, is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Head of Programmes to lead their programme development and delivery from a fully remote position. This senior leadership role is essential for ensuring the effective and impactful execution of the charity's mission across all its programmatic areas. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programmes, ensuring they meet the needs of beneficiaries and align with strategic objectives. This is a remote-first opportunity for a leader passionate about driving social change through well-managed and impactful programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all programme activities, ensuring alignment with the organisation's mission and values.
• Develop and implement robust programme frameworks, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of programme performance, utilising data to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate impact.
• Manage and mentor programme staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with external stakeholders, including funders, government agencies, and community partners.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and funding requirements.

Requirements

• Significant experience in programme management and leadership, ideally within the Charity & Voluntary sector.
• Demonstrated success in designing, implementing, and scaling complex programmes.
• Strong understanding of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience managing remote teams effectively.
• Proficiency in financial management and budget oversight for large-scale programmes.
• A commitment to social impact and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable populations.
