Head of Projects

I’m working with a growing Cut & Carve specialist who I have worked closely with for several years now looking to appoint a new Director to take ownership, build a team and shape the future of a new division as they strive to doubling their current turnover.

Experience:

• Experience winning and delivering complex cut and carve projects in London with project values sub £10million
• Strong client relationships that can bring work to build your own division - these should be your own relationships and not ones who work solely with the business you work with now
• Proven track record in the above
• Strong people management skills - internal and external stakeholders

Duties;

• Take overall ownership of the new Cut & Carve division, with responsibility for its growth, strategy, performance and profitability .
• Develop and execute a clear business plan to grow the division and ultimately double current turnover .
• Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities across the London market.
• Leverage your existing client and professional network to generate a sustainable pipeline of future projects .
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with clients, consultants, developers and other key stakeholders .
• Lead the pre-construction and tendering process , from initial opportunity through to successful appointment.
• Work closely with the commercial and pre-construction teams to develop competitive and commercially viable bids .
• Provide strategic oversight of projects from pre-construction through to completion , ensuring delivery against programme, budget, quality and client expectations.
• Establish and implement operational processes, reporting structures and KPIs for the new division.
• Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing team of project and construction professionals as the division grows.
• Set clear expectations and provide effective leadership, mentoring and performance management across the team.
• Take responsibility for the effective management of internal and external stakeholders , ensuring strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain strong oversight of commercial performance, risk, programme and project delivery .
• Produce accurate and concise management reports and board-level updates , providing clear visibility of performance, pipeline, risks and opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with the wider business to identify cross-selling and new business opportunities .
• Represent the business at client meetings, industry events and networking opportunities , raising the profile of the new division.
• Help shape the company's long-term strategy for Cut & Carve , identifying opportunities to expand its market presence and service offering.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with the company's health & safety, quality and compliance standards .
• Take ownership of the division's P&L , with accountability for revenue, margin and overall financial performance.
• Act as a senior ambassador for the business, helping to establish its reputation as a leading Cut & Carve specialist in London
