About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and accomplished Head of Supply Chain Management to lead their global supply chain operations from their offices in Manchester . This executive role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning. You will play a critical role in optimizing the flow of goods, reducing costs, and ensuring timely delivery to customers worldwide. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader with deep expertise in supply chain strategy and a passion for driving efficiency and resilience in a complex global network.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive global supply chain strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Oversee all supply chain functions, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and logistics providers to secure optimal terms and pricing.
• Implement advanced supply chain technologies and systems to enhance visibility, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Manage and develop the global supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Mitigate supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
• Monitor supply chain performance against key metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in senior supply chain leadership roles, with a proven track record in global operations.
• Deep understanding of all facets of supply chain management, including planning, procurement, logistics, and warehousing.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex supplier and logistics contracts.
• Proficiency in supply chain software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
