Head of Tennis

About the Role

Our client is looking for a passionate and expert Head of Tennis to lead their tennis program in Liverpool . This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive tennis strategy for all age groups and skill levels, from junior development to adult coaching and competitive play. You will be responsible for managing coaching staff, curating high-quality training programs, and fostering a positive and thriving tennis community within the club, ensuring its continued success and growth as a premier tennis destination.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic plan for the tennis program, focusing on player development, membership engagement, and competitive success.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of tennis coaches, ensuring high standards of coaching delivery and professional development.
• Design and deliver innovative and effective coaching sessions for juniors, adults, and performance players.
• Organize and oversee internal tournaments, leagues, and external team competitions.
• Promote tennis activities to existing members and attract new players to the club.
• Manage the tennis budget, including equipment, court maintenance coordination, and staffing costs.

Requirements

• LTA (or equivalent governing body) Level 4 coaching qualification or higher.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in coaching tennis, with at least 3 years in a leadership or Head Coach role.
• Proven ability to develop and implement successful junior and adult tennis programs.
• Strong understanding of tennis technique, strategy, and player development pathways.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
