About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Head of Trading Strategy to lead their institutional trading operations from a remote location. This executive role is responsible for defining and implementing the firm's overall trading strategy, driving alpha generation, and managing the trading desk. You will leverage deep market knowledge, advanced quantitative techniques, and cutting-edge technology to optimize trading performance and manage risk effectively. This is a fully remote leadership opportunity for a seasoned professional with a proven track record of success in high-frequency or algorithmic trading environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the firm's global trading strategy, focusing on alpha generation and risk mitigation.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of algorithmic trading systems and infrastructure.
• Manage and mentor a team of traders, quantitative analysts, and developers.
• Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify new trading opportunities and strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant trading regulations and internal policies.
• Monitor trading performance, P&L, and risk exposures, reporting key metrics to senior management.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in quantitative trading, algorithmic trading, or portfolio management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to develop and implement successful trading strategies in equities, fixed income, or derivatives.
• Expertise in programming languages (e.g., C++, Python) and trading system architecture.
• Deep understanding of market microstructure, order execution, and risk management principles.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
