About the Role

Our client, a premier tennis club in Oxford , is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Tennis Coach to lead their coaching programs. This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive coaching curriculum for players of all ages and abilities, from beginner juniors to advanced competitive players. You will be responsible for mentoring coaching staff, fostering a positive and performance-oriented environment, and enhancing the club's reputation for excellence in tennis development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical understanding of tennis, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for nurturing talent.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and deliver high-quality tennis coaching programs for juniors and adults.
• Develop and implement a structured player development pathway, identifying and nurturing talent.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of tennis coaches.
• Organize and run tennis clinics, camps, and tournaments.
• Promote tennis participation and enhance the overall tennis experience for club members.
• Ensure all coaching activities align with club values and LTA guidelines on safeguarding and child protection .

Requirements

• LTA Level 3 or above coaching qualification (or equivalent international certification).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in coaching tennis, with a proven track record of player development.
• Strong understanding of modern tennis techniques , strategies, and fitness conditioning for players.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage schedules, programs, and staff effectively.
• Experience in organizing tennis events and competitions is highly desirable.
