This role presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled and visionary leader to take on the position of Headteacher at The Bishop’s Church of England Primary Academy.

The Bishop’s is one of the bigger primary schools within our Trust, serving an area of higher than average disadvantage in the wonderful town of Thetford. The current team have worked extremely hard to improve the school and they have demonstrated strong improvement in recent years which can be felt and seen at the school, as well as being reflected in improved Ofsted and children’s outcomes. This journey is not yet, however, complete and we want someone to work with both the fantastic staff team and dedicated Trust professionals to take the school even further. You will, currently, also be working with the additional resource and support available from the RISE programme, which the school has been involved with since September 2025.

As our current Headteacher prepares to move on, we are looking for an inspirational leader, with proven leadership skills who will lead the school into its next phase of development, whilst upholding the Christian ethos and values that make Bishop’s distinctive and rewarding place to learn and work.

As Headteacher, you will provide clear strategic leadership, shaping the school’s future while ensuring consistently high-quality teaching, a rich and meaningful curriculum, and an inclusive culture where everyone is valued and supported.
