Health & Safety Advisor
Location: South Lanarkshire

About the Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established operator within the industrial processing and energy sector for a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team at their site in South Lanarkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Health & Safety professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, engineering and contractors to drive a positive safety culture within a busy industrial environment.
This is a fully site-based, Monday to Friday position, where you'll play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
The Role
Reporting into the Site Leadership Team, with support from the wider Group Health & Safety function, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing day-to-day Health & Safety support across the site.
* Promoting a positive Health & Safety culture through visible leadership.
* Conducting workplace inspections, audits and compliance monitoring.
* Leading and supporting accident, incident and near miss investigations.
* Reviewing risk assessments and safe systems of work.
* Supporting contractor management and permit-to-work activities.
* Delivering toolbox talks and Health & Safety communications.
* Monitoring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
* Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Working closely with operations, engineering and maintenance teams to improve safety performance.
About You
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
* CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 (or working towards it) would be advantageous.
* Experience within heavy industrial, manufacturing or operational environments
* Experience carrying out incident investigations.
* Experience with contractor management.
* Strong knowledge of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
* Exposure to ISO 45001 and internal auditing.
* Excellent communication skills with the confidence to influence operational teams.
* A hands-on approach and a genuine passion for improving workplace safety.
