Job Description
We are working on behalf of our client to recruit a highly skilled and proactive Health & Safety Advisor for a hybrid role covering multiple locations across the UK, with a primary base in Berkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated health and safety professionals seeking a challenging and rewarding position within a dynamic organisation. The successful individual will provide essential safety support as a Health & Safety Advisor, fostering a strong safety culture across various operational environments.
Benefits:
Hybrid role covering UK locations, with a Berkshire-based ideal location
Salary of £40,000 per annum
Monthly car allowance of £350
Working hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm
23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, and additional benefits including a birthday day off

Opportunities for career progression within the organisationThe Health & Safety Advisor will play a key role in supporting health and safety compliance and best practices. As the Health & Safety Advisor, you'll be responsible for delivering operational safety standards and ensuring legal compliance across the organisation’s UK sites.
Duties:
Provide health and safety support across over 20 UK locations through regular visits, inspections, and safety audits
Identify risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and support continuous safety improvements
Develop and review risk assessments, safe systems of work, and operational safety procedures
Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
Support compliance with UK health and safety legislation and relevant standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
Assist in maintaining legal documentation and ensuring safety policies are up-to-date and effectively implemented
Provide guidance and practical health and safety expertise to managers and staffRequirements:
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is essential
Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Health & Safety Practitioner, Advisor, or in a similar capacity within the UK
Practical experience applying health and safety principles in operational environments (not predominantly office-based roles)
Experience within the automotive, commercial vehicle, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, transport, or similar industries
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
