Health & Safety Manager
Location: Oldham (Office Based with site visits)
Salary: £50,000 + Company Car + Fuel Allowance
Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a well-established construction and refurbishment business operating across the North West and surrounding regions. The role will be predominantly office-based in Oldham, with regular site visits across the North West and Shrewsbury areas.
The business specialises in fit-out, refurbishment, and fire door projects, and is looking for a proactive individual to take ownership of all health, safety, and compliance functions across the company.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) Managing and maintaining company accreditations Producing and updating Construction Phase Plans Managing ISO standards and compliance processes Conducting regular site audits and inspections Ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions where required Providing guidance and support to operational teams on all health and safety matters Maintaining accurate records and documentation Driving continuous improvement of health, safety, quality, and environmental standards across the business
Requirements
NEBOSH qualification essential Previous experience in a Health & Safety Manager or senior Health & Safety role within the construction sector Strong understanding of fit-out, refurbishment, and fire door projects Experience managing accreditations, ISO standards, RAMS, and Construction Phase Plans Excellent organisational and administrative skills Degree qualification desirable but not essential Full UK Driving Licence What's on Offer?
