Health and Safety Officer (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Officer to join their operations in a completely remote role. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety strategies across multiple construction sites, ensuring compliance with all UK regulations and company policies. This position requires a proactive approach to risk assessment, incident investigation, and promoting a strong safety culture through digital communication and training initiatives. You will work closely with site managers and project teams to uphold the highest standards of workplace safety from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct remote risk assessments and site inspections (supported by on-site personnel).
• Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Deliver health and safety training and awareness programs to site staff remotely.
• Monitor compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and standards.
• Maintain accurate health and safety records and prepare regular reports for management.

Requirements

• NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer , preferably within the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
• Excellent communication and training skills, adaptable for remote delivery.
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations and produce comprehensive reports.
