About the Role
Our client is seeking a specialized Healthcare Architect to join their established practice in Glasgow . This role involves designing state-of-the-art healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and research centres, requiring a deep understanding of the unique demands and complexities of medical environments. You will work closely with healthcare professionals, technical experts, and project teams to create functional, safe, and patient-centred spaces. This is a critical position for an architect dedicated to improving healthcare infrastructure through thoughtful and technically proficient design in Scotland .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of complex healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with health regulations and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with clinicians, hospital administrators, and technical consultants to define project needs.
- Develop detailed architectural plans, specifications, and 3D models for healthcare projects.
- Ensure adherence to stringent healthcare design standards, infection control principles, and accessibility requirements.
- Manage project delivery, coordinating with construction teams to ensure accurate implementation of healthcare designs.
Requirements
- Professional qualification in Architecture.
- Significant experience (7+ years) designing healthcare facilities, demonstrating a strong understanding of medical environments.
- Expert knowledge of healthcare building codes, standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Revit and other architectural design software, with experience in complex modelling.
- Excellent communication, client liaison, and team leadership skills for projects in Glasgow .
