Healthcare Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and specialist Healthcare Architect to join their dedicated, fully remote team. This critical role involves the design and development of state-of-the-art healthcare facilities, encompassing hospitals, clinics, and specialized medical centres. You will be responsible for ensuring designs meet the complex functional, clinical, and regulatory requirements of the healthcare sector, while also fostering innovation and patient well-being. The position requires a deep understanding of healthcare planning, infection control, medical equipment integration, and the specific challenges of designing in this sensitive environment, all managed within a flexible, remote working framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and planning of various healthcare facilities.
• Develop functional layouts and technical solutions that meet stringent healthcare standards and user needs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, consultants, and clients throughout the design process.
• Integrate medical equipment requirements and advanced building technologies into designs.
• Manage project documentation and contribute to the successful delivery of healthcare projects from concept to completion.

Requirements

• Professional qualification in Architecture.
• Significant experience (7+ years) specifically within the healthcare sector , designing hospitals or clinics.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare operational requirements, infection control principles, and medical technology integration.
• Proficiency in Revit and other relevant architectural design and BIM software.
• Experience with DfMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) in healthcare is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of working effectively in a remote setting.
