Healthcare Assistant – Outpatient and Pre OP Assessment Unit
Hereford Hospital | Nursing | Bank | Part Time | £12.84 per hour

You will be an integral part of the Outpatient and Pre‑Assessment Team, bringing relevant experience, a keen eye for detail and a flexible approach. Patience, focus and excellent communication skills are essential, as is a genuine team spirit, IT literacy and a passion for development and training.
As a Healthcare Assistant in Pre‑Assessment / Outpatients, you will:
- Assist colleagues in various specialties including Orthopedics, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT, Cardiology, Psychiatry and Urology.
- Enjoy more time to care for patients as individuals.
- Manage a wide range of activities and changing priorities.
- Ensure the day‑to‑day operations of our clinics run smoothly.
- Assist consultants and registered nurses with procedures such as dressings and wound care.
- Carry out pre‑assessment questionnaires both face‑to‑face and over the phone.
Qualification: You must have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad‑hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.
