Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to patients, helping to promote their comfort, dignity, and independence. This role involves working closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Support patients with eating and drinking where required.
- Maintain accurate patient records and report any changes in condition to senior staff.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
- Assist with moving and handling patients safely, following manual handling guidelines.
- Support healthcare professionals with clinical duties as required.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, health and safety, and safeguarding policies.
- Promote dignity, respect, and confidentiality at all times.
