About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly dedicated and thorough Healthcare Cleaner to maintain exceptional standards of hygiene within their healthcare facility in Wolverhampton . This role is of paramount importance in preventing the spread of infection and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, operating theatres, common areas, and other critical zones according to stringent healthcare guidelines. The successful candidate must be reliable, understand the sensitivity of the healthcare environment, and be committed to upholding the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation. This is a vital role in supporting the delivery of safe and effective healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to healthcare-grade standards.
• Sanitize medical equipment and surfaces in wards, clinics, and operating theatres.
• Dispose of waste, including clinical waste, in accordance with strict protocols.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are performed efficiently and in compliance with infection control policies.
• Restock consumables such as soap, paper towels, and hand sanitizers.
• Report any spills, hazards, or maintenance issues immediately to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cleaner, preferably within a healthcare or clinical setting.
• Understanding of infection control principles and healthcare cleaning standards.
• Knowledge of appropriate cleaning chemicals and their safe application in sensitive environments.
• Ability to work with discretion and respect patient privacy.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties, including standing, bending, and lifting.
