About the Role

Our client requires a dedicated Healthcare Cleaner to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation within healthcare facilities in Nottingham . This critical role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and infection-free environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting various areas, including patient rooms, wards, operating theatres, and common areas, adhering to strict protocols. The ideal candidate will be highly conscientious, understand the importance of infection control, and be committed to providing a meticulous service in a sensitive environment in Nottingham .

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Clean and maintain operating theatres, labs, and other specialized medical environments.
• Adhere strictly to infection control policies and procedures.
• Dispose of clinical waste and general waste according to healthcare regulations.
• Replenish supplies in restrooms and cleaning stations.
• Report any observed issues or potential hazards to the facilities manager immediately.

Requirements

• Previous experience in healthcare cleaning or a similar environment is essential.
• Knowledge of infection control principles and procedures.
• Understanding of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
