Heavy Plant Engineer – Taunton
£23.00 - £25.00 per hour plus company van, overtime, training and excellent benefits.
The Role
- Service, maintain and repair crushing, screening and quarrying equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Carry out planned servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Attend breakdowns and minimise customer downtime.
- Complete service reports and job documentation accurately.
- Build strong relationships with customers whilst representing the business professionally.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and to manufacturer standards.
The Person
- Previous experience as a Heavy Plant Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Mobile Plant Engineer or Crusher & Screener Engineer.
- Experience working on crushing and screening equipment is highly desirable.
- Alternatively, strong experience working on heavy plant, quarrying or construction equipment.
- Strong hydraulic, electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
