About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Helpdesk Support Technician to provide essential IT support to their users in Stoke-on-Trent . You will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical assistance, diagnosing and resolving a wide range of IT issues, and ensuring the smooth functioning of all hardware and software. This role requires a methodical approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to users of all skill levels. Working in a hybrid capacity, you will collaborate with the IT team to maintain system stability and support business operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level helpdesk support to end-users via phone, email, and remote access tools.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain user workstations, peripherals, and software applications.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to company systems and resources.
- Log all support requests, track their status, and ensure timely resolution within the ticketing system .
- Assist with IT asset management, including inventory tracking and deployment of new equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Helpdesk Technician or in a similar IT support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
- Familiarity with network protocols and troubleshooting techniques (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work model.
- Must be based in or able to commute to the Stoke-on-Trent area.
