Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Helpdesk Support Technician to join their IT support team based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, UK . You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, and maintaining IT equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets in a timely manner, ensuring all issues are logged and tracked.
- Assist with IT asset management and inventory control.
- Support the IT team in the implementation of new technologies and system upgrades.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support role.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
