Job Description
HGV Class 1 Drivers - Ongoing Work
Berry Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established supermarket chain for experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join an ongoing contract.
Immediate starts are available, with regular work, consistent shifts and competitive rates of pay.
We are looking for both day and night drivers to support a busy nationwide operation.
Shift Pattern & Start Times
Drivers will work a standard 5 on / 3 off rota.
Available start times are:
04:00
10:00
18:00
23:00Bank holidays are paid at time and a half.
Annual Leave
25 days' annual leave during your first 2 years
29 days' annual leave after 2 years with the business
Bank holidays are included within the annual leave entitlement
New Drivers Welcome
Newly qualified HGV Class 1 drivers are welcome to apply, subject to meeting the required licence and insurance criteria.
Requirements
Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
Valid Driver CPC
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
Good geographical knowledge and the ability to use maps/navigation
No more than minor penalty points on your licence, in line with the client's insurance requirements
Excellent customer service skills
Good written and spoken English
Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach to work
