HGV 2 Dust Cart Driver

Accelerate Personnel are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a HGV 2 Dust Cart Driver, You will be required to deliver an efficient and effective waste collection service for residents and businesses across the district. This is a Temp-Perm opportunity for a driver who values the environment, enjoys driving, and takes pride in leading a small team to support the delivery of this vital service. This role primarily involves driving a refuse collection vehicle and operating across multiple waste streams. You will also be expected to help with lifting when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Collecting multiple waste streams in line with Council methods and arrangements.
• Working to prescribed health and safety requirements, ensuring no impact on the public while completing the round.
• Ensuring transport management requirements are met at all times.
• Supervising the designated crew throughout the round.
• Completing vehicle checks before and after each shift and promptly reporting faults.
• Working as part of the team to meet service standards, targets, and performance indicators.

Requirements

• Valid UK driving licence with Category C entitlement
• CPC & Tachograph Card
• Previous driving experience
• Good communication skills and team work
• Ability to help with manual lifting when required
