HGV 2 Refuse Driver – Reading Monday to Friday | 6:00 am Start | £17.72 per hour (approx. £709 per week)

What you’ll be doing:

• Safely operating an HGV 2 vehicle to collect refuse across designated routes in the Reading area

• Working closely with your team to ensure daily targets and safety standards are met

• Loading and unloading waste efficiently while adhering to health and safety regulations

• Conducting pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness

• Reporting any vehicle defects or safety concerns promptly to supervisors

• Maintaining a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with the public and colleagues

• Following established waste management procedures and environmental guidelines

• Assisting with training and supporting less experienced team members where needed

Requirements

• Valid HGV 2 licence with a clean driving record

• Willingness to start work at 6 am, Monday to Friday

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Commitment to health and safety and attention to detail

• Reliable, punctual, and motivated to provide excellent service

• Previous experience in refuse collection is beneficial but not essential due to full induction
