HGV Class 1 ADR Driver

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 Driver with an ADR certification to join their specialized transport team in Plymouth . This role involves the safe transportation of hazardous materials, requiring meticulous attention to detail and strict adherence to safety protocols. You will operate a Class 1 HGV, ensuring all loads are compliant with ADR regulations and delivered to designated sites efficiently. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining the highest standards in a critical industry. You will be a key member of a team dedicated to safety and professionalism in handling specialized cargo.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport hazardous materials in compliance with ADR regulations using a Class 1 HGV.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
• Ensure all loads are properly placarded and secured according to safety standards.
• Maintain accurate driving logs, tachograph records, and ADR documentation.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety and security.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and relevant authorities.

Requirements

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) license .
• Current ADR certification (Packages).
• Up-to-date Driver CPC card and Digi Tachograph card.
• Proven experience driving HGV vehicles, with specific experience in handling hazardous goods.
• Excellent knowledge of ADR regulations and road safety.
• Ability to work independently and follow strict procedures.
