HGV Class 1 Driver - Bulk Transport

About the Role

A prominent national logistics firm based in Newcastle upon Tyne requires a qualified and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to manage the transportation of bulk goods. Key Responsibilities

• Operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle safely and compliantly for long-distance transportation of goods.
• Conduct thorough pre-departure checks and routine maintenance inspections of the vehicle and trailer.
• Ensure accurate completion of all delivery and collection documentation, including digital tachograph records.
• Adhere strictly to driving hours regulations and company safety policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other stakeholders throughout the transport process.
• Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the vehicle.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) license .
• Up-to-date Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) card.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
• Proven track record of safe driving and adherence to regulations.
• Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK road network .
