HGV Class 1 Driver - Day Shifts

Our client is actively seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for day shift operations out of their Plymouth depot. This role involves the transportation of goods across various routes, ensuring timely and secure deliveries. You will be responsible for the safe operation of a Class 1 vehicle, adhering to all legal requirements and company policies. Key Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly during day shifts.
• Transport goods efficiently to designated locations, adhering to delivery schedules.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift, reporting any defects.
• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes and tachograph records.
• Ensure all loads are safely secured and comply with weight restrictions.
• Maintain excellent communication with the dispatch team and site contacts.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence .
• Current Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
• Proven experience as a Class 1 driver, preferably with experience in day shift operations.
• Clean driving record, with no major endorsements.
• Good knowledge of the South West England road network, particularly around Plymouth .
• Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety standards.
