HGV Class 1 Driver (Days) Cat C+E

Manpower UK seeks an HGV Class 1 Driver (Days) Cat C+E for its Northwich client. This permanent position pays between £38,670.53 and £40,000 annually, including a Class 1 supplement, with monthly wages. Shifts begin between 3:00 AM and 7:00 AM, lasting roughly ten hours, across five days weekly, occasionally six from seven. Covering Sunday through Saturday, hours average 48 per week over a rolling 26-week period, capped at 60 in any single week. Drivers follow long-distance routes from Glasgow to Essex, completing multi-drop customer deliveries on planned schedules. A fixed rota operates with weekly published notice. Working Hours andamp; Shift Pattern

Routes andamp; Deliveries

Long-distance routes covering areas from Glasgow to Essex Class 1 customer delivery work with multi-drop deliveries Following planned routes and schedules to provide consistent customer service Managing shop fixtures and deliveries in line with customer requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service and act as a professional ambassador for the business
• Complete all paperwork and electronic documentation accurately
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and personal presentation standards
• Ensure compliance with all transport legislation, including: Tachograph regulations
• Working Time Directive (WTD)
• Driver CPC requirements
• Vehicle defect reporting
• Load security and weight checks
• Support regular and relief delivery routes as required
• Drive safely and professionally, adhering to the Highway Code and speed limits
• Champion Health andamp; Safety standards at all times

Requirements

• Valid Category C+E (Class 1) licence
• Minimum 2 years'' Class 1 driving experience within the last 3 years
• Current Driver CPC card
• Strong understanding of tachograph legislation
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience preferred
• Good attention to detail
• Flexible and reliable approach to work
• Strong team player
