About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join their busy distribution hub located in Leicester . This critical role involves the timely and safe transportation of goods between depots and to various customer locations across the region. You will be an integral part of a dedicated logistics team, ensuring that our client's supply chain operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and business success. Key Responsibilities

• Conducting scheduled deliveries and collections of goods using an HGV Class 1 vehicle.
• Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects promptly.
• Adhering to strict driving hours regulations and company policies.
• Ensuring all loads are correctly secured and accounted for.
• Maintaining clear communication with the logistics team and customers.
• Safely operating the vehicle in various traffic and weather conditions in and around Leicestershire .

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license .
• A current Driver Qualification Card (DQC) and Digital Tachograph card.
• Proven experience as an HGV Class 1 driver, with a clean driving record.
• Thorough understanding of WTD regulations and tachograph usage.
• Excellent knowledge of UK road networks, particularly the Midlands area.
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
