HGV Class 1 Driver - Trunking

Key Responsibilities

• Operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle for trunking operations, transporting goods between designated locations.
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing it properly to prevent movement during transit.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs immediately.
• Adhere strictly to all driving hours regulations , tachograph requirements, and road safety legislation.
• Maintain clear communication with the dispatch team regarding delivery schedules, delays, and any unforeseen issues.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients at delivery and collection points.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license .
• Up-to-date Driver CPC qualification and valid tachograph card.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience driving Class 1 vehicles, preferably in trunking operations.
• Proven record of safe driving, with no major endorsements or accidents.
• Excellent understanding of UK road networks and traffic laws.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery windows.
