About the Role

Our client is looking for a qualified and dependable HGV Class 1 Driver to join their reputable transport company based in Belfast . This role is critical for managing the movement of goods across Northern Ireland and potentially further afield, requiring a high level of skill and professionalism. You will be responsible for operating large commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and collections while maintaining the company's high standards of service. Key Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles for the transportation of goods to various destinations according to schedule.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Securely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and stability during transit.
• Adhere to all tachograph regulations and working time directives, maintaining accurate driver records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and ensure the vehicle is kept in a tidy condition.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification and Digi Tachograph card.
• Proven experience as a Class 1 Driver , with a strong understanding of road safety and regulations.
• Excellent driving record with no major endorsements.
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to varying delivery schedules.
