About the Role

You will be responsible for the safe and timely collection and delivery of a variety of freight, operating modern, well-maintained vehicles. Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle for long-distance transportation of goods.
• Conduct thorough vehicle checks before and after each journey to ensure roadworthiness.
• Adhere strictly to tachograph regulations and working time directives.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage.
• Maintain clear communication with the transport office regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
• Represent the company in a professional manner when interacting with clients and the public.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) license and Driver CPC qualification.
• Current Tacho card.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your driving license for minor traffic violations.
• Excellent knowledge of UK road networks and transportation laws.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety standards.
