HGV Class 1 Driver - Tamworth, Staffordshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Tamworth, Staffordshire .

This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and flexible working with a large national client.

This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver , Category CE Driver , or Articulated Lorry Driver .

Rates of Pay:

• £19.95 per hour Monday to Friday
• £21.10 per hour Saturday and Sunday
• Overtime:£24.94 per hour
• Holiday pay accrued separately

Shift Pattern:

• Tuesday to Saturday: start times between 20:00 and 23:00
• Tuesday to Saturday: start times between 11:00 and 14:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will work:

• Completing Class 1 trunking runs from depot to depot
• Carrying out occasional deliveries to supermarkets
• Completing occasional supplier collections when required
• Operating refrigerated trailers safely and efficiently
• Conducting daily vehicle checks
• Ensuring all loads are secure and transported safely
• Adhering to UK traffic laws and company procedures
• No handball required

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: xwwtmva

• A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card (DQC)
• A minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience
• Experience operating refrigerated trailers

Desirable Experience:

• Good knowledge of the UK road network
• Experience working with chilled vehicles or refrigerated trailers

Training:

• Driving assessment required prior to starting
